Reason(s) to Jailbreak your iPhone

First of all, and to answer the ever repeating question about iPhone Jailbreak; YES, IT IS LEGAL TO JAILBREAK YOUR iPHONE

Now moving into the actual topic of Jail breaking; The process is pretty much straightforward once the Jailbreak is released. The risks are minimal and should something goes wrong you can easily restore your phone to the factory settings by connecting it to your PC via iTunes and restoring it.

The question is: Why should one Jailbreak his/her iPhone?!

The answer(s) are the following:

1. Unlock the true potential of iPhone.

Changing system settings in ios are very limited and most of what you see today came from previous jailbreak modification that Apple later adopted and made official. Turning your iPhone into a wireless Router was used way before it became an official option.

Changing simple yet effective settings like warm colors at night will not only give you an eye candy but effectively help your eyes. Many more comfortable modifications like blocking unwanted calls or adding numbers on top of the keyboard are a few of the many.

2. Changing the look and feel of your iPhone.

Achieving modifications like these cannot be achieved without Jailbreak. Need I say more? Just encase; You can also change icons per page and make folders in folders. Again, just a small example of what you can do.

3. Cydia (The official Jailbreak app store).

upon jail breaking your iPhone a Cydia app will be installed. All the modifications and  great apps will be there, both FREE and PAID. Most of the rejected apps will appear here. A real modifying apps such as the Lock Screen editor and not the fake ones that your used to in the official app store.

Ok, so whats the risk?

First of all, the Jailbreak although legal is not official. You may run into a problem or crash -I never did- and when you do it will be little hard to figure whats wrong.

Apple will reject to fix any Jailbroken device so make sure to not tell em and restore your device to the original state before handing it to them.

Aside from the above, nothing to worry about.

5 Reasons to have 2 phones.

Its not unusual to have more than one mobile number these days on both Personal and Profesional scale. As technology grow so are the choices, and sometimes it is hard to just select and use one device. The question is; Do you really need more than one mobile at a time?

The answer depends greatly on your life style and view on technology. Regardless of all, here are the 5 reasons I personally carry 2 devices.

 1. Separating the Profesional from Personal

Having to work in IT company I know whats it like to have your phone ready around the clock. While some may argue that having another phone will not solve the issue, at least I can know when a personal call is received or work related without having to reach the phone should I am in the meddle of something,

Another benefit is that you can switch it off during your off or vacation although some companies forbid it.

2. The carriers offers

Competition is big, and new offers popup almost everyday at different carriers. To benefit, most require you already owning a number for a period of time. An inactive chip dose not count.

Another thing is the free calling to the same network offer where you can call for free provided your calling a number on the same network provider. A golden opportunity for a small business establishments.

3. Emergency

Very helpful God forbid your phone gets stolen or you need to travel without risking your main phone.

4. Special Feature in sidekick phone

Using myself as example, I carry my main Galaxy Note 2 phone along with an outdate blackberry. Reason is; The BBM messenger that most of my contacts still use and the lake of privacy in whatsapp app.

5. Filtering your contacts

We all had that moment when we didn’t want hand out our main number to a person while still keeping him/her around. Need I say more?

Well, these are my 5 reasons for keeping 2 phones. Comment or share yours.

Finally finished my first Chapter of the trilogy. The Date Aftermath is a book written by me about a group of survives left over in a post Apocalypse world.
Although the worst should have already past, little do they know that the aftermath is only the start.
The eBook should be published soon as I’m currently researching my options. Will keep you posted.
